"A Day In Kayla's Life" I mean it, when I say Nigerians have Zero Chill. #VentWenesday

In the the course of my job,  i have had to do a bit of Customer Care Service.
which y'all know demands a high level of tolerance.
Before now i use to think there is no big deal in rendering Services until i had to be in that position where i did...

One of my Boss gave me a quick task to call a couple of numbers and ask if they got a particular  message concerning something important..
So i got right to it and started calling,  the most annoying of all is when i dailed the numbers and the call goes South.....

               "Call Session "

Me - "Hello,  good afternoon my name is Kayla and i am calling to confirm if you got our text message concerning the upcoming Event this weekend"

Receiver -   "Yeeeeees  i don't know you, what did you say your name is again?  Oooh Kayla from where and who told you to call me? Look I have no business with you...   I know the Host of the Event and i'll talk with him directly  because i don't know who you are" ...

Me -  "Ok Sir,  I told you  my name is Kayla  and i am the Host's representative, my duty is to make sure you get the invite through the text message" ..

Receiver - "I didn't get any text, what did you write in the text, I don't need a text to be there. Like i said i know the Host.. I don't know any Kayla, i would talk to him directly". Bye

Am like whaaaaaaat!!!  I could almost hear my self  snap back at the person but i just had to take a chill pill, and the fact that i had to repeat same line to over 30 other people became a burden...

I realise how much work is done by a Customer Services  provider especially the Tele -Communications Company no Wonder when you call the Customer Care Line they put you on hold for hours or not respond at all...

My question is why do Nigerians have zero chill?  Why are we uneccessarly aggressive over simple issues....
Is it because of the harsh economy we facing or it's just a Nigerian thing.....
It's so cheap to be kind, so why can't we be kind to Strangers, be it on phone or in person...

I'd love you to share your Experience you had that went awkward and you almost snap back but you didn't.....
